Links

This site is inspired by the old web I used to surf, as well as the new websites that keep its spirit alive. This page collects a few favorites. I hope to add more.

Living a FI (livingafi.com)

Dr. Doom navigates the workplace on the road to Financial Independence. Particularly “The Job Experience” collection has repeatedly provided comfort when work has me down. No longer updated, still worth a read.

Low Tech Magazine (solar.lowtechmagazine.com)

Newer is not always better. The wisdom of old technology can be combined with the modern to provide optimal results. This is the same ethos behind this site: an “old web” website made easier and better with modern tooling.

Sheldon Brown (sheldonbrown.com)

The best website for anyone who has ever fixed an old bike. Sheldon’s passion and generosity represent the best of the open web. Although Sheldon passed, the site is maintained by his family.

Melon King (melonking.net)

Champion of the new old web. The site that convinced me to go ahead and publish something.

More to come
