About
In fly fishing, the term “blue lining” refers to exploring and fishing the small tributaries of the mountains. A fisherman picks a blue line on the map and goes fishing. Far from the main stems of well-known rivers, these blue lines can be barren trickles, or they can hold a fish in every hole. You won’t know until you go.
This site is not about, or at least not exclusively about, fishing. This site is about the blue lines of my life: the dead ends, dark canyons, and fertile headwaters that flow together to make the river that I am. I hope you enjoy.
